This is the film to forever take the edge off of adolescence, whether you are going through it now, or went through it 20 years ago. This film will make it all better. Following the trials and tribulations of several high-school seniors, this film takes us through the stress and anticipation of losing one’s virginity, and the wicked lures of hormones. The four male leads make the time honored pact of losing their virginity by or on prom night, then learn that things are so much easier said than done. Inside this teen world of sexual frustration and hysterically funny embarrassments, we also learn that everyone is embarrasses by their well-intentioned parents, and we witness the budding of love and the discovery of romance as these friends realize what it is really like to start growing up. This film is well acted and absolutely endearing, and proves that coming of age films don’t have to be so serious.
